The end of an era
Yesterday was the end of an era. I looked up era and it said that it's a significant period of time that has a start and a stop. My era in Young Women only lasted 2 1/2 years but it was a great time! I was called into the Bishop's office before church yesterday (knowing exactly what was going to happen) and was told that we were all being released. By all I mean: me, Judy (president), Raygon (2nd councilor), and Chera (Mia Maid advisor). I was so sad! I cried for 2 1/2 hours, you can ask Raygon she said she timed me. Anyway, I'm feeling better about all of this today because I know it's for the best. I was getting kind of burned out on all our activities and the meetings. It will be good to have a rest for awhile. I don't have another calling right now but I'm sure the Bishop will figure something out for me.

Trip to California
I know I am really slow posting this on here but we went to California a few weeks ago. We had a lot of fun and I was really dumb and forgot my camera (and my purse) at home so my mom was nice enough to let me use her camera. We went to Sacramento to go to the "Choo Choo" museum and to the zoo. Another day we went to see Jordan's brother and sister-in-law. They live about an hour south of my parents. We picked them up and we all went down to Half Moon Bay for lunch and for some fun at the beach. It was only 60 degrees (I know what you're thinking 60 is warm), that is not warm enough to go running in the cold ocean in a bathing suit. We were fully clothed but still had a lot of fun in the sun.
Shelby didn't think that she would like the feel of sand on her feet. She eventually did put her feet down. This is my mom with Shelby at the Zoo.Shelby walking up the beach. Jordan and Shelby about to run away from a wave. She had the most fun doing this. She had to wear out her dad and then get her Uncle Jared in the act too.

The Happiest time of year!
I think the happiest time of year is this time of year. I know it's cold and nasty and we are just waiting anxiously for spring, but before spring comes it's tax time! I love tax time! I wait all year long to do my taxes and see how much money I'm going to get back. I love it! I just finished my taxes and I love having Shelby and being "not well off." I know that someday we will have a house that is paid for and all of our kids will be gone and then we'll have to start paying but for now, it's the happiest time of the year.
