Summer, summer, summertime!

I love summertime! I can't say it's my favorite season but it is a close second to Fall or what I like to call "Sweater Weather." But, this isn't about Sweater Weather. I love the sounds of summer the most. Shelby and I went to the "splash park" that is in Porter park the other day. I thought we were going to have so much fun. You could hear the sounds of the kids playing and the water spraying and the carousel's music playing. We got there and Shelby started smiling and laughing when she saw the water but as soon as she got into it, She freaked out. The big bucket on the top dumped a TON of water on her and she started running in a circle looking for me. It was so funny! I wish that I was able to take a picture of her but my camera's battery was too low.
Shelby did however like the Carousel, a lot! She didn't want to get off of it. She rode Sister Sue, which is a horse that Jordan's brothers fixed up when they were redoing the Carousel. It is a really cute little horse.
The next day Shelby and I went over to the Hymas' house to stay with Caleb and Holden while Raygon and Andy went to do Sealings. We had a lot of fun! Shelby and Caleb ran through the sprinklers and played with all of his toys. I think it's fun for her to play with new toys. I did find out that Shelby is a very jealous girl! Anytime I held Holden, she would want to be held too. I'm worried about when we have our next baby!

When my cousin, Laura, was here a little while ago we went up to Yellowstone National Park. We didn't get to spend much time there because Jordan had to work in the morning and he had class later in the evening. Anyway, it was beautiful but the animals we hiding from us.

I never knew that toddlers liked corn on the cob. Maybe they don't and my child is just weird. But, we had some BBQ and Shelby really wanted my corn on the cob and of course my spoiled little girl gets what she wants. I promise it's not just a fluke thing. She ate a lot of it another time, too. Anyway, here's a picture of her holding her cob after she ate it.

What Mother's day means to me

This Mother's day was one of the best. I know I haven't had very many but it was still fun! Shelby went to nursery and stayed the entire time! It was only her second Sunday going so I was really impressed that she was a good girl! She even drew a picture for me. But, I have to say sitting for three hours of church was amazing!


Shelby and I went outside after it rained a few days ago and we walked around looking at all the pretty flowers and trees that we have in our yard. It was fun to just get out and play.

Easter Morning

This Easter was the first one that Shelby actually cared about. We were in California so my mom and dad got to play Easter bunny.Shelby found her basket and all her chocolate inside. She loved just sitting on the floor and digging through her basket.This is Shelby's Easter dress that my mom bought her. She is all dressed and ready for Church.

My baby can Walk. . .Finally!

Today is the day! I'm so happy that Shelby started walking today! It feels like it would have never happened. She is almost 16 months old. I thought at least 7 months ago she would start walking. Oh well, she is so proud of herself and I am one proud Mommy! It will be any day now that she will be running. Then I'm going to regret this excitement I'm sure, But for now I'm happy.

Trip to California

We had lots of fun in California. We went for Jordan's brother, Jared's wedding and we were able to stay and play after that. The wedding was really beautiful! They were married in the Oakland Temple, the greatest temple ever (I'm not biased or anything)! They were sealed in the same room that Jordan and I were. It was really neat because I could actually look around this time!

After the luncheon and before the reception the kids wanted to go swimming. So here are the cousins in our family swimming in the bathtub. From the left we have Jonas (Matt and Andrea's son), Zoie (Matt and Andrea's daughter), and Shelby (who is mine, obviously).

News from Bernie

I know some people wanted to see our Dodge Durango that we recently got because it had a blown engine. Jordan found an engine for $450.00 and was able to put it in in about a week. After all was said and done we think this Durango cost us about $800.00 We drive it from time to time but we are waiting to sell our VW Passat. If you know anyone who wants one, let me know!!
I wish that I had taken a picture of our driveway yesterday. For about a week we had Jordan's friend's truck, my friend's car, two of our cars and one in the garage. We looked like a used car lot! I'm glad it's starting to clear out.
My next news is that I decided that I'm going to start selling Lia Sophia Jewelry. I think this jewelry is awesome! I also want to be able to help support my family and be able to stay home with Shelby.
My starter show is going to be on March 28th. I hope that I can have people host shows! Wish me luck!

My third and final news is that awhile ago at Mutual I went with the Beehives and Raygon taught us how to make bows for little girl's hair. So, Raygon, this one is for you! You taught us well!
